I always find myself coming back to this thought.
I really want to become a great artist though, I just find it hard to take the time to develop my skills. It's really sad. Wanting to have the skill but not putting in the time to develop them.

Either way, it's not really something that I couldn't do though.
I love being an artist. I love being able to think outside the box and to surpass the ideology that society has upon people.

That's just my definition of an artist.
To be honest though, I'm still making art, but they're mostly just sketches though. I'm not really comfortable to a certain point to submit my sketches on Deviant Art.

I feel that my watchers deserve better than that, but it's really hard trying to recreate a idea from my head, but it ends up looking like poop.

In order for me to be successful, I have develop my foundation, which is really bad.

Just rip up everything I knew and just start fresh.

So I guess that anatomy, color theory, perspective, and all that other fun stuff are tools that I need to learn, respect and cherish in order to create something beautiful.

Does anyone have any tips? Experiences? Opinions?

I guess everyone's already said what I was hoping to, but anyhow~
deviantART is what you make of it, this is your gallery and your opinion about what you want to show in it is what matters the most. There's not a thing wrong with posting sketches! I show people my sketches so I can have someone else let me know if there's any errors before I start inking, for one, but aside from that there's a certain liveliness to sketch lines that is rather hard to keep when the old inking pens and eraser come out.
If you want to share your passion, your ideas, or even keep a timeline of your work to see just how much you are improving over time, that's another way to make use of deviantART. I keep my old (crappy) work up in my gallery to remind myself I'm improving whenever I feel my drawings are terrible or going nowhere.

You clearly do have the mind of an artist, and your potential as one is unlimited if you do keep trying at at! c:
